Registration Registration Forms need to be received by 1 November 2015 to allow for the finalisation of catering.
Location This year being the 10th anniversary Meet N Great we have engaged the services of the Glen Innes Show Ground Trust and will be holding all evening events and Dinners and Breakfasts at the Show Ground.
Camping is also available at the Show Ground for those who wish to set up for a “one stop shop”.
Information on camping availability and costs at the Grounds are detailed in this information sheet. For those members wishing to use other accommodation in town, our usual courtesy bus will operate between your accommodation and the Show Ground.
Glen Innes Show Ground – Torrington Street Entrance.
Registration Check In will be at the Show Ground on Friday from 5.00 – 6.30 pm and Saturday between 10.00 and 11.30 am and 3.30 to 5.00 pm.
Please visit our Marquee at the entrance of the Show Ground during these times to collect your registration badges, Show n Shine Rego Sticker and for any information about the weekend’s activities.
Camping Check In – on arrival please visit the Caretakers Cottage on the right hand side of the entry gates and you will be allocated a camping site dependant on your booking request – (powered or unpowered)
Welcome Dinner held at the Show Ground Tea Rooms and Outdoor Entertainment area commencing with pre –dinner drinks at 6.30, Dinner commences at 7.00pm. Two course meal with Bar Facilities and entertainment provided by “Little Phoenix”.
Saturday Morning breakfast will be available at the Show Ground commencing at 7.00 am – Bacon & Egg or Sausage & Egg sangas’ with juice, tea, coffee etc. Pay as you go.
At 8.00 am there will be a Mystery Ride Brief for those participating which will be held at our information Marquee at the entrance to the Show Ground. Departure for the ride will be 08.30 am and return to the Show Ground at approx 11.45 am.
“Glen On Wheels” main Street Parade will commence at 2.00 pm all participants in the parade need to assemble in front of the Club Hotel, Grey St – near Woolworths at 1.30 pm.
The parade will lead to King Edward Park for the Show N Shine where judging will commence at 2.30 pm.
This year our Show N Shine will be incorporated into the new “Glen On Wheels” motoring enthusiast’s event.
The “Glen On Wheels” event will be hosting Cars (Vintage and Hot Rod) and Truck Shows, Inverell Vintage and Motorcycle Restorers Club display, Market Stalls, Family Entertainment, as well as providing catering and other activities, all in the Glen Innes Park Lands.
This year’s Dinner Dance is a Hillbilly Hoedown Theme to commence at 7.00 pm. Includes a two course meal, presentation of Trophies to Show n Shine Winners and a prize will also be presented to the best dressed Hillbilly on the night.
Breakfast will be available at the Showground commencing 0700 and in keeping with previous years we would appreciate a gold coin donation. All Donations go to UCARF.
Camping at the Show Ground The Glen Innes Showground offers: A fully fenced, safe and secure camping area, close to town facilities. Shaded camping areas for tents, caravans and motor homes. Caravan and camping space for large groups or choose your own secluded site. A place where pets under control are welcome. Toilets (46, including two with disabled access). Hot showers (18, including one with disabled access). Water tank refilling. Black water waste disposal system for caravans and motor homes. Easy access and turning space for big rigs.
Fees and charges
Camping for tents, trailers, caravans and motor homes requires a daily fee per vehicle, payable on entry. Unpowered site $15.00 Powered site $20.00
