Kate, I want to publicly thank you for all the extraordinary work you are doing on our wonderful new website.

To those of you who are not aware, Kate took this task on when we requested a person to take over administration of the web site and to also design a completely new website.   Kate has done all this whilst working full time, recovering from an operation and more recently coping with a broken foot after losing a contest with a tent pack at a rally.  Her dedication becomes obvious when you take note of the times of some of her posts and updates.

Our former webmaster Raymond is enjoying his retirement from that role and has commented very favourably on the new site.

I also wish Peter Maguire all the best with the construction of the new national website and a glance at the teething problems being experienced on the national site help illustrate what a great job Kate is doing with a virtually seamless transition as she adds data and sections to the new site.   This role is much more complex than simply cutting and pasting  as a whole new site has been created.

Kate – I wish to say a big thank you on behalf of the members and committee of the Melbourne Branch.

Thanks so much . I've slowed

Thanks so much . I've slowed a bit in the last week because my foot is infected , but back to the tasks at hand now. I really do appreciate the kind words. My job of course has been made a lot easier because Raymond had the old site so well planned and layed out . All the words and categories are his work , I'm just re-planting them into this new format and rebuilding the database to serve them. The plus for me is I am getting to learn about the amazing history of the Melbourne Branch and feel quite honored to be able to ensure that all this archival work can be carried on into the future. Much thanks to Raymond for his advice and help.
